Pink in the Sky

As I was eating breakfast this morning, around 10 of 7, I happened to look out the window…and what did I see? This amazing sunrise!

What a great way to start the day! Even though it is sometimes said, “Pink in the morning sailors take warning”…but it shall only be sunny skies today!

Apple Picking

Over the weekend, I went went apple picking at my favorite orchard. Even though many leaves have already fallen, there were still quite a few pretty colors to enjoy from the top of the hill!

The day started off foggy, but cleared off while we were picking apples:) There were even some tractor rides available for those who wanted!

3 Crows

I saw a small group of crows the other day digging through the leaves for food. Isn’t it good luck to see 3 together? Let’s hope so….

Squirreling Away

This is the time of year when squirrels can be seen collecting acorns and the like to prepare for winter. It’s amazing how they know what to do and when! I think we can learn from the squirrel to only collect good things, and to store them up for colder times, such as good thoughts, feelings, and memories to help us through life’s rough patches:)

Pinecones

This year there seems to be tons of pinecones on the tops of most pine trees. Does this mean they know we are going to have a harder winter and that they have to produce more to survive? Or is it just time for them to make more pinecones? We shall see…

Berries

There are tons of berries now, and the birds are loving it! I can hear them flitting around through the branches, eating as many as they can while they’re still around. Now is the time to prepare for the colder seasons of the year…

Full Moon and Sunrise Colors

Last night I saw the brilliant full moon, the 1st of 2 full moons in October. I wonder what shall happen that’s ‘once in a blue moon’?

Also, this morning I woke up to a beautiful sunrise, with pinks and purples covering the sky…

So nice to see after the rain yesterday! Looks like a beautiful day here in New England to get outside!

Rainy Leaves

It rained last night, and is continuing this morning, however that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy nature! Sometimes things look even more beautiful in the rain, such as these pretty red and orange leaves…

Don’t forget to look for the beauty in the rain today!
