Crocuses for Easter

One of the first flowers of Spring here in Vermont is the crocus, which I saw the other day while on a walk. It reminds us of rebirth and new beginnings, perfect for the Easter season!

International Travels-South Africa

In March 2013 I took a safari to South Africa via Germany. It was a solo trip to see animals like lions, zebras, giraffes, etc. in their natural habitat. First, I stayed in Cape Town for a couple days and explored the Cape of Good Hope. Here is the view of part of Table Mountain out my window:

Then I flew over to the east coast to Port Elizabeth where I was able to go on a safari and get really close to a pride of lions and a herd of elephants:

I even got to ride and feed an elephant! You can read more about my trip here and here.

Signs of Spring

Everywhere you look there are more and more signs of Spring! We have some tulips starting to grow by our house…

Snow Face Over Drain

I was walking by the drain near our house the other day and noticed that the remaining snow looked like a face! (It has since been washed away by rain)
