I just went on a nice walk near Troublesome Creek and the Chulitna river. We stopped by the Southern Viewpoint as well and saw all the pretty fireweed blooming with the river and mountains in the distance…

Wildflowers

Now that it’s mid-June, more flowers are finally starting to bloom up here in Alaska 🙂 Back home in Vermont the lilacs have already gone by over a month ago, but here they are just opening…

and here’s another purplish pink flower, called the prickly rose, that’s now blooming…
